Does Gold Weigh More in Pennyweights Than in Grams?

For example, a chain that weighs 15.55 grams weighs approximately 10 dwt. The first number is larger only because a gram is a smaller unit than a pennyweight. This is similar to describing the same distance in feet or yards.
