We test it. We weigh it.
We explain the offer. You decide.
What we buy
A few pieces. Or a whole collection.
You don’t need to know every karat or marking before your visit. Bring the pieces you want evaluated.
Gold & jewelry
Rings, chains, bracelets, broken pieces and single earrings. Bring jewelry with its stones and components intact.
Coins & bullion
Gold and silver coins, rounds and bars. Keep existing holders and include any grading or purchase records.
Silver & other metals
Sterling silver, silver jewelry and other qualifying precious-metal items. Bring uncertain pieces for identification.
We also evaluate dental gold and watches. Call ahead about unusual pieces or a larger collection.
Before you leave Toccoa
Grams or pennyweight? compare the same unit.
Different weight units can make two quotes look confusing.
Record the unit beside each weight and ask how the pricing basis matches it. Also check that both calculations use the same items and account for purity.
| Written quote | Record |
|---|---|
| Weight | The measured amount |
| Unit | Grams or pennyweight |
| Price | Matching pricing unit |
| Purity | Test result used |
| Payment | Final dollars offered |

01
Read the scale unit
Ask which unit is displayed when your items are weighed.
02
Label existing quotes
Keep the weight unit with any written offer you bring to the visit.
03
Match the pricing unit
Clarify the unit used for a quoted price and how it relates to the measured weight.
04
Check the purity basis
A unit conversion does not replace the need to account for the tested metal content.
05
Compare final dollars
After the details are aligned, compare the amount actually offered for the same pieces.

Is there a Gold Kings store in Toccoa?
Toccoa customers are served by our Commerce storefront at 480 Banks Crossing Dr. Use the Commerce address above when planning your visit.
Why can the same item have different weight numbers on two quotes?
The units may differ, or the quotes may include different components. Ask which unit and items each figure represents before deciding there is a discrepancy.
Is the larger weight number the better offer?
No. A number without its unit and pricing basis is incomplete. Compare the final amount for the same items after the measurement details are explained.
How does my Commerce evaluation work?
At the Commerce store, we inspect your pieces, test their metal content and weigh them in front of you. Ask how the tested purity, precious-metal weight, current market price and payout percentage produce the final offer. You can review the explanation before deciding whether to sell.
